Student life up North is a dream!
- You have the opportunity to participate in free, high-quality IB programs in both Denmark and Norway!*
- Both countries offer a student-centric environment; for instance, accommodation and board at Danish boarding schools are available from just ~130,000 HUF/month.**
- The doors are open for Hungarian students starting from the 10th grade, though students most commonly begin their IB studies in the 11th or 12th grade.
What is the IB (International Baccalaureate)?
It is an international high school education program that provides a globally recognized diploma upon completion, meaning students do not need to take the separate Hungarian matriculation exam.
- International recognition: The IB diploma is accepted by over 5,000 universities in 150 countries without the need for additional exams. It is currently the most competitive high school qualification worldwide.
- Modern education: Project-based learning where students create their own schedules tailored to their individual needs and interests.
- Safe environment: All of this takes place in a close-knit, excellently equipped boarding school.
You study 6 subjects, chosen by you – no filler subjects!
The IB subject groups (you must choose one subject from each group):
- English language and literature
- Second language (German, Spanish, French, or Danish/Norwegian)
- Social sciences
- Natural sciences
- Mathematics
- Elective subject (Arts or another subject from the previous groups)
Denmark and Norway are waiting for you!
If you have any questions, feel free to write to us – we are happy to help! We look forward to seeing you on Friday, November 6!

*Education in Denmark is completely free. In Norway, Senja High School offers tuition-free education, while the Skagerak program requires a tuition fee.
**For students under 18, certain high schools adjust boarding fees based on the parents’ income (the fee can be lower in the case of a double room). This fee covers accommodation, 3-5 meals a day, internet, and all other boarding school facilities and services.
